Joshua ISD band students showed out at the American Classics Festival, a two-day musical event at McArthur High School in Irving! 

The Nichols Middle School Symphonic Band, conducted by Bryan Bass, received a Superior rating and an Outstanding Performance Designation, while the NMS Honor Band, conducted by Teri Smoot, received a Superior rating, an Outstanding Performance Designation and was selected Best in Class for 2C Varsity Bands.

The Spirit of Joshua High School Honor Band, conducted by Stephen Smoot, received a Superior rating, an Outstanding Performance Designation and was selected as Outstanding Performing Ensemble for the festival. In addition, Stetson Turnbaugh and Aiden Gresham received outstanding soloist medals. The JHS spring show will be tonight, Tuesday, May 14, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
